Using paper flowers for your wedding is becoming much more popular of late and they have some great advantages. They will never be out of season, won’t wilt or die before you go down the aisle, there are no worries about pollen or hayfever and you can keep them forever.
The quality of paper flowers is getting better and better, as you can see from the beautiful cake topper above from Etsy. The collection of flowers below are just amazing and come from Paper Flower Weddings, who make eco friendly flowers and have a large range on their web-site, as well as books on how to make your own.
The flowers used for this bouquet are just stunning, there is no doubt that they look 100% real…..a more old style look for the flowers on the cake which have been fashioned from crepe-paper, it’s still a nice design and would work well for a county themed wedding.
Finally I am going to leave you with two wedding dresses made from paper. The one on the left was created for an exhibition held at the London Design Museum where artists created their works of art from recycling and reappropriating different materials….the dress on the right has been made from toilet paper as part of a competition on Cheap Chic Weddings. You can take a look at some of the other entries here, but I think that the above winning dress wouldn’t look out of place at any wedding.
If you are a crafty person you will like the up-coming D.I.Y Monday post that shows you how to make a fabric wedding bouquet, and keep an eye out for a D.I.Y Paper Flowers post coming soon.
