I’m a big fan of Art Deco. I love the clean lines, the fancy patterns, and the elegance of a time gone by. So today I thought I would share some beautiful Art Deco Wedding Inspiration with you all…. be sure to check out some more images that didn’t make it into this blog post by taking a look at my Art Deco Pinterest Pinboard.
Invitations set the look and feel of your wedding, allows the guests to envisage what the day will be like, will set the mood and the dress code. The above example is ‘classic’ art deco, black and white with striking patterns, but you can be colourful and playful too, just check these out!
Escort Cards can be classic and elegant, or a bit more playful like the top example with the peacock feather… it’s elegance in a different way.
This wedding cake fits in perfectly with an Art Deco theme, stain glass style.
The wedding dress for this theme just has to come from Penny Packham, there is no other designer who just ‘gets’ the the look and feel of the era so well. The above dress is Eden and is just perfect… I did come across a retro evening gown that although is much plainer than Eden, fits the theme very well. My art deco bridesmaids dress is a steel at £50 from John Lewis! You can’t go wrong with that..
Jewellery is a big part of the over all Art Deco look, but it doesn’t have to cost a fortune. Check out secondhand stores, etsy and ebay to grab yourself a bargain.
I will leave you with this beautiful gold art deco moodboard. As I have mentioned above you can go very classic with this theme, or add a touch of colour and flare, it’s really up to you.
Don’t forget to pop on over to our Pinterest Art Deco board for some more images on this theme, there is a great pair of shoes you won’t want to miss!!
