This months seasonal bloom is the Cornflower…. these beautiful flowers are very under used in the wedding industry and I can’t understand why because they are such a lovely dainty flower. The most common colour is blue but sometimes others are available. I currently have these growing in my front garden with a hint of purple.
This wonderful Pomander has been handmade and would look good hanging off a bridesmaids arm or as a table centre.
This pretty headband also uses the Cornflower and would look very sweet being worn by a flower girl, you could also get her to throw some of this wonderful natural flower confetti as you walk down the aisle.
My final picture is a great little detail that someone has used on their wedding cake, adding a splash of colour to give that bit of wow factor.
To find out what flowers are in season throughout May take a look at the Flowers and Plants Association Guide, as we are getting towards summer there are many flowers to choose from.
If you used Cornflowers or any seasonal flowers at your wedding drop me a line and send in some pictures, I would love to feature them on the blog.
